In 2021 I started programming in Rust. Therefore, I'm looking for new toy projects to train my Rust programming skills. I first heard about Battlesnake in the podcast "Go Time" with Jon Calhoun, Brad van Vugt, and Mat Ryer (https://youtu.be/DXqOXJvepgA). Since Battlesnake has a max. time to respond to a request, a language without GC seems like a good idea to implement a server in. In case you're interested, I've written a blog post about my first steps (https://weitzel.dev/post/battlesnake-intro).
